This is one of the best screenplays that I have watched ever, the story is about a female protagonist who is played by Jodie Foster ( Clarice Starling ). She plays the role of a young FBI rookie, who is assigned to get into the mind of notorious serial killer Dr Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) to get his evaluation on the elusive "Buffalo Bill", a serial killer who's been abducting and killing young women.
Clarice, faces a lot of difficulties as she works in a male-dominated instituition ( FBI ). This movie shows how a woman faces criticism, harassment and stares of condescension. However, she succeeds on her own, despite various male interlopers.
The scene when Clarice visits Hannibal lecter is filled with suspense and is one of the best. I really like the way Anthony Hopkins has acted, especially his look when he is delivering the dialogues.
Hannibal in return to his clues to the murderer's identity gets Clarice to provide him with her personal information. As the case advances, Lecter asks for more rewards in return. Lecter gets to know Clarice even better than before. When Buffalo Bill kidnaps prominent senator's daughter, it becomes a race against time to find her before she is killed. Clarice, in a desperate attempt to save her agrees for hannibal's conditions. Little does Clarice know that Hannibal uses Clarice's investigation to escape out of the jail.
How does Clarice rescue the senator's daughter and Hannibal escape from the tight security to know about it watch the movie and listen to the dialogues from Lecter. Its totally a thriller and you will not get bored even a bit.
